Roadtrip - Day 3: Family Time!

All those miles were worth it - to spend time with Scott’s daughter, Ashley, her hubby Chad, and our precious grand-daughter, Winona! She’s 18 months old and full of energy and spunk.

A few things to report about the day:

• Our car is in the shop for an expensive repair to the starter thingie.

• Following afternoon naps for Grandpa and Winona, we went to a charming, family-friendly amusement park.

• Then it was Thai food at a local restaurant in an historic Portland neighborhood.

I’ve never had children of my own, and after witnessing Ashley and Chad - who are wonderful parents - I can’t imagine that I could give any child of mine the energy and attention a little human deserves. It will be fun to watch her grow up!
